Who we are
This website, unantrading.com, is run by Unan Hospitality Maldives Pvt Ltd, trading as Unan Trading (Reg. C‑0503/2010), M. Golden Tower, Golden Valley, 9th Floor, Buruzu Magu, Malé, Maldives. What we collect
- What you send us. When you build a quotation, use the FullSet simulator, write to us by email or WhatsApp, or ask for a price list, we receive the details you enter: name, company or resort, email, phone and the products and quantities you are interested in. The quotation form also saves a copy of the request on our server so we can follow it up.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe, your email address is held by our newsletter provider, Mailchimp. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
- Site statistics. Our own statistics script records the pages viewed, time on site, the page you came from and the type of device. It does not record your name unless you send a quotation. A long-term visitor ID is only stored on your device if you accept cookies; otherwise the ID lasts only until you close the tab.
- Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful. Analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice. If you decline, Google receives only basic signals without cookies, and no visitor ID is stored.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (GoDaddy) keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and time of request, for security and to keep the site running.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, prepare quotations and supply orders (needed to take steps towards or perform a contract with you).
- To send the newsletter you asked for (your consent).
- To understand how the site is used and improve it (your consent for analytics cookies; our legitimate interest for basic, cookie-free statistics).
- To keep the site secure and meet our legal and accounting duties.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the site and our tools: GoDaddy (hosting), Google (Analytics), Mailchimp (newsletter) and WhatsApp/Meta when you choose to contact us there.
- Our Brazilian office, Unan Trading Ltda in São Paulo, and the producers, freight forwarders and customs agents who need order details to prepare and ship your goods.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers process data outside the Maldives, including in the United States and Brazil. We only use providers that apply recognised safeguards for international transfers.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries, quotations and order correspondence: for as long as we work together and then for the period required by tax and accounting rules.
- Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months. Our own visitor ID: up to 2 years, and only after you accept cookies.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a purpose such as the newsletter. You can change your cookie choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. Write to tolga@unantrading.com and we will reply within 15 working days.
